    Step-by-Step guide on how to Reformat your Computer using Windows XP CD

    All the data in the same partition with Windows [Drive C :] will be
    erase. So, if you want to save your files, make sure that they have been
    moved to other partition [Drive D: or E :].


    Here is step by step guide on how to reformat your Computer using Windows XP CD.

    NOTE: If you have a network connection, please unplug from the network before starting installation.

    1. Press [DEL] key to Enter Setup, First, make sure that your computer is set to Boot to CD. See the image Figure no. 01.

    Note: This is a sample BIOS Image



    2. Save your BIOS settings and exit. Insert Windows XP CD in your CD-ROM.
    Wait
    the computer asked you to "Press Any Key to Boot from CD". And when
    those messages appear then press any key to start your CD to Boot. See
    the image Figure no. 02.

    Next, It will prompt you the list of existing Partitions and
    UnPartitioned space on your computer. Use the arrow key [UP and DOWN
    ARROW] to select an item. And for each option you can choose [C] to
    create and [D] and [L] to delete a partition or press [Enter] if you
    want to run Windows XP. See the image figure no. 03

    Delete the Partitioned item choose Delete[D],
    Continue[Enter], and then Delete[L]




    Now you should be left with just unpartitioned space choose[C] to Create





    Choose Set up Window Xp on the selected item press [ENTER] and
    Choose Format the partition using NTFS File System [Quick] and press Enter






    After
    formatting, and copying files a screen appears as installation files
    are written to the hard drive. Once finished copying. The installer will
    automatically reboot.


    Note: don’t press any key if computer asked you again “Press any Key to Boot from CD”.


    4.
    The computer will continues for the installation and prompt you the
    Regional and Language Options. Now, you can use your mouse when the page
    appear and click Next to accept.See the image Figure no. 04.

    5.
    Windows XP will spend 20 or 30 or more minutes configuring your
    computer depending on how your PC worked and will automatically restart
    when it finished. When the Display Settings dialog appears, click OK.
    This will improve the appearance of visual element and adjustment of
    your screen. See the image Figure no. 05.

    Follow
    the prompt box that appear in the screen and computer will prompt you
    that Window XP setup is complete. You can log on by clicking your name
    on the logon screen. If you’ve installed Windows XP on a new computer or
    new hard disk drive, you can now use the File and Settings Transfer
    Wizard to copy your important data to your computer or hard disk drive.
